Still Alive!

November 30, 2010

It’s been a few months I know but Find and Freight is still operating as one of the most successful personal service couriers in Victoria. We have established a couple of new commercial relationships with interstate couriers which will enable more freight to be delivered door-to-door, rather than depot to depot, at the best price, and of course, we still offer the personal service, by phone or by email, that we always have.  We are also able to offer our ‘full service’ that is, personal shopping, product research and pickup, unpackaged goods in a wider area. Check findandfreight.com.au for the latest news or keep up to date with this blog, Twitter (http://twitter.com/findandfreight), Squidoo (http://www.squidoo.com/findandfreight) or Myspace.

I’ve had some peopel ask why we have such an onnline prescence, and the reason is simple – it complements paid and print advertising to reduce our costs and enable us to be cheaper.

Thanks for reading and it won’t be so long next time!

Find and Freight now part of GippsGuide

March 1, 2010

Hi All.

Long time, no posting. Well thanks for reading. The last month or so has been flat out, with more courier business thanks to Find and Freight’s Google listing, which has been increasing in turn thanks to plenty of hits on posts like these.

The big news is that Find and Freight is now part of GippsGuide, a business in the Latrobe Valley and mid-Gippsland that publishes a community newspaper. Local businesses can now advertise in one and use the procurement services of Find and Freight, so it definitely makes sense. Anyway, thanks for reading, and it won’t be so long next time.

Find and Freight Update January 3 2010

January 2, 2010

Well a new year is upon us and fortunately the start of the year has brought a lowering in the temperatures (well it’s good for a courier anyway). One load from Melbourne last week was transported in 42 celsius heat, which actually felt pretty good when compared to the Find and Freight vehicle interior.
As I’ve mentioned before, it’s about time to update some of our plant and equipment and I’ve been looking at eBay to help. I’ve narrowly missed out on some good buys, but I’m just glad I haven’t had some of the bad experiences I’ve had with eBay personally in the past. What is it about the internet that makes people so aggressive, when compared to an in-person auction. Without mentioning names, one buyer recently who bought an old game machine we were clearing out of the garage was upset of a minor glitch that meant it wasn’t as easy to resell. For those new to Find and Freight, remember while we are based in Gippsland, we service Australia-wide, which is what I’ll be doing in the next few weeks with some household goods. Anyway, maybe more about that next blog. Bye.

Find and Freight Update

December 20, 2009

First, thanks for staying interested enough by my first post, for those who’ve been here before, to read the second. And to new readers, welcome.  Well, as I hoped would happen after Find and Freight’s push into an internet presence, the website (www.findandfreight.com.au) is attracting more and more hits and proving a useful source of extra business. Find and Freight is stil in the process of upgrading our plant and equipment, with a larger covered trailer in the pipeline to enable a regular service from Melbourne Airport to the Latrobe Valley. Will keep you posted. In the meantime, enjoy our end-of-month special – half price freight from Melbourne to Gippsland. And before I go, let me reassure all customers that Find and Freight carries $5000 per load goods in transit insurance, which has always been included for free – I read with some surprise one other (large) courier’s info, who seemed proud that insurance was now(!) free for customers for the courier’s own accidents/damages. While we always strive for perfect delivery, Find and Freight has always been proud to carry it for any accidents which we know are our responsibility - we certainly wouldn’t charge the customer more for it as an option. Anyway, bye for now.

Find and Freight Couriers (Melbourne and Gippsland) Blog

December 15, 2009

Welcome to the blog of Find and Freight Couriers, ‘all in one’ couriers based in Gippsland, Victoria, Australia.
Of course, as a business type, a courier itself cannot post a blog, so instead it’s me, the owner of Find and Freight, Adam Hornsey. Hello to all!
This blog will (hopefully) keep up to date with improvements in plant and equipment of Find and Freight, staffing and other changes which will continue our standing as one of the best couriers, in terms of customer service and value, in Gippsland, and for that matter Victoria!
If you haven’t come from there already make sure you visit our website, www.findandfreight.com.au, where we’ll also post the latest specials (our latest is half price Melbourne to Gippsland freight in the second half of each month). And you can find out more about the business.
And remember if you want to contact us, there you’ll find the details. Anyway, will update soon, as we look at increasing our trailer stock – stay in touch!
